Training is necessary, but very few employees get excited about
attending a training programme.
It is incumbent upon us to present training in a way that makes
learning enjoyable. That may require getting creative and moving
away from dry lectures and boring online lessons.
Games, puzzles, and other “thinking” exercises can often lighten a
lesson plan and enhance learning.
This quarter we share a complimentary word search designed to help
individuals identify stakeholders – people who have a need to know
about what is happening during a crisis response.
There are several ways to use this word search. After a discussion on
stakeholder identification, you can ask students to search the puzzle
cold to see how many stakeholders they can find.
After some time, you can see how they are doing and then share the
stakeholder clue list if they are struggling. Or you can share the clue
list upfront and let them search directly from it.
You can also modify the word search if you want to add or delete
other stakeholders specific to your organisation or crisis.
These kinds of tools can also be used in crisis team newsletters or
pre-exercise workshops.
